Patient Rights
- 1. Patients have the right to be treated with attention and respect as human beings.
- 2. Patients have the right to receive equal healthcare regardless of their gender, religion, or social status.
- 3. Patients have the right to receive explanations from the medical staff regarding the disease condition, treatment plan and methods, and the expected results.
- 4. Patients have the right to receive sufficient explanations regarding the medical treatment they will receive, and to participate in the medical decision or to refuse any medical treatment.
- 5. The medical information of the patients are not to be divulged unless prescribed by law. Patients have the right to have their medical records and physical/private information kept protected.
- 6. Patients have the right to request information about the attending medical staff's area or expertise, or details on medical expenses.
- 7. Patients have the right to be protected physically from any hazard within the hospital.
Patient Responsibilities
- 1. Patients have the responsibility to provide the medical staff with accurate, detailed information regarding their health conditions, or any other information needed for their treatments.
- 2. Patients have the responsibility to respect the medical staff's treatment plans, and will have the responsibility for any consequences occurred by not following them.
- 3. Patients have the responsibility to comply with the hospital regulations and policies, and to respect the hospital staff and other patients.
- 4. Patients have the responsibility to fulfill any financial obligations agreed upon with the hospital, such as medical expense payments.
